2019 ROLL OF EXCELLENCE
Seven outstanding Australians will be inducted into this year’s Coles Little Athletics Australia Roll of Excellence with Official of the Year also presented Saturday night, 19th October 2019 at the Rooftop Ballroom at Aloft Hotel, Perth.
The Little Athletics Roll of Excellence recognises former participants in Little Athletics who have subsequently excelled in their chosen field within four categories: Track & Field, Sportsperson, Achievers and Volunteers.
The Official of the Year recognises those who regularly participate in Association/State Competitions, makes an outstanding contribution throughout the previous season and contributes positively to the overall moral of the official’s fraternity.
By creating a Roll of Excellence, we will help to preserve and promote Little Athletics heritage and inspire more children to become involved in our community athletic activities and to do their very best in sport and life.
So far 78 individuals have been inducted into the Roll of Excellence under the categories Track & Field, Sportsperson, Volunteers and Achievers.
The inductees this year join a special group that have been awarded Little Athletics Australia Roll of Excellence membership; which includes Olympic and world champion track and field athletes Steve Hooker, Sally Pearson, Kim Mickle, AFL player Jack Riewoldt, Shane Crawford Australian cricketer Mitchell Starc, professional surfer Sally Fitzgibbons, Olympic Gold medallist, Kimberley Brennan (Rowing), just to name a few.

The Little Athletics Australia Roll of Excellence recognises former participants who have achieved at the highest level in their chosen sport or profession.
1. Track and Field – Former Little Athletes who have represented Australia in athletics,
2. Sportsperson – Former Little Athletes who have competed at the highest level in Sport,
3. Achievers – Former Little Athletes who have achieved in a non-sport related discipline,
4. Volunteers – Any person (outside those eligible above) and/or families who have made an outstanding contribution to Little Athletics in Australia.
