How to Register

The main Little Athletics season for Perth Metropolitan and country Centres will commence in September/October. Check with the Centre and/or Club for training and competition dates.

Registrations for most Centres will open online at 8am on 7 September 2019.

Register online via ResultsHQ or find out whether your Centre will be holding a physical registration day.

If you are a returning member, do not log in first.  Click on “Registrations” and follow the prompts.

 

Northwest Regional Centres who conduct their season during the Winter months:

  • Ashburton (based in Tom Price),
  • Broome,
  • Hedland,
  • Karratha,
  • Newman,
  • Exmouth.

Age groups are aligned to year of birth.  Children must have been born in 2014 or earlier, (note not all Centres offer U6’s, a few Centres may offer Tiny Tots for children born in 2015).

New and returning athletes are encouraged to register online via  ResultsHQ .

You can also register through your Centre or Club in many cases.

New Members can enter their suburb or postcode in the search box to find a Centre.  The search results will give information specific to that Centre, including times and fees.

Next follow the prompts to create a profile before proceeding to online registration.

  • Payment options are Credit Card or Paypal to pay online, select cash if you are paying in person (not available for all Centres).
  • Sighting of birth certificate for new members is required.  You can either scan and upload a copy or take to your Centre or Club.
  • Don’t complete a full registration until you are sure little Athletics is for you – check whether you Centre offers “Come and Try” (more lower on the page).

Returning Members

Do not log in.  You will need to click on “Registrations” as your first step and then choose your Centre.  You will be asked to enter your username and password later in the process.

 

If you don’t know your username, try your email address, otherwise contact your Centre Registrar or the LAWA office, who will be able to assist you.

If you have forgotten your password, click “Forgot your Password” and a link will be emailed to your nominated email address.

  • Please do not create a new profile as your previous information and results will not be linked up and/or your registration may not proceed.

  • Many Centres also have their own website or Facebook page.

 

Once you start competing at your Centre, all you results will also be in your ResultsHQ profile, You will also see invitations to nominate for various events throughout the season, so remember to keep your username and password and check back each week.

Undecided? – Come and Try

If you are undecided  about registering, many Centres offer 2 training sessions and 1 competition day on a “Come and Try” basis.

These sessions are offered at the discretion of the Centre, based on capability and capacity. Please contact your nearest Centre to clarify if “Come and Try” sessions are offered, before attending.

  • You must complete a “Come and Try” registration as full registrations may not be able to be reversed once complete.
  • Come and Try registrations may be made online via ResultsHQ (valid for 14 days) or by filling in a form on the day.

No matter what your skills or ability Little athletics is all about family fun and fitness and making sure you can be your best.  Many Centres are able to cater for children with a disability.

 

Centres and Clubs will be able to help you improve and learn about athletics so you can get the most out of your involvement.  Learning is fun and in no time you will see your personal best performances (PB’s) improve.  Families participate together with a strong reliance on parent volunteers to assist in a wide range of roles.

If you are fit, it makes you feel good about yourself and you have the energy to do anything.  Young people who take an interest in sport are more likely to stay fit for life.

Little athletes offer a range of running, jumping and throwing events which you will train for an compete in weekly at your Centre.  Some athletes go on to further competition at Little Athletics State Events, Australian Championships and international competition.  Little Athletics provides foundation skills which are also highly transferable to other activities.

You will find no shortage of friendships at Little Athletics.  We have provided a friendly environment for 50 years!

FAMILY FUN AND FITNESS
