WA Little Athletics recognises and acknowledges the important contributions of people to our sport through a variety of special awards for athletes and volunteers.

The LAWA Awards and recognition Policy has been developed to ensure that volunteers and athletes are recognised in the best possible manner.

The following awards will be presented at the LAWA State Conference on 4 August 2019:

Volunteer Merit Awards

LAWA Roll of Achievers.

Nominations are submitted  from Centres for these awards.

If members wish to provide feedback regarding awards, please contact your Centre.

The following awards were presented at the 2019 State Track & Field Championships:

  • Athlete of the Year – one boy, one girls and runners up;
  • Doug Hancy Award and Runners up;
  • 11 year athlete participation medallion;
  • 10 and 20 year volunteer award.

  • 8 year athlete certificate;

  • Junior Volunteer award;
  • Centre Administrator, Coach and Official of the Year.

Little Athletics WA also recognises past members who have gone on to excel in their chosen field as an adult.  The LAWA Roll of Excellence was inaugurated in 2018 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Little Athletics in WA.
